Tavla oyunu, en fazla iki kişi arasında oynan zarla oynana şans ve zeka oyunudur. Tavla oynanma tahtasının arkasında dama adlı oyunda oynanır. Bu yüzden çift oyun aracıdır. Oyunun bir geçmiş hikayesi mevcuttur.
Tavlanın Tarihi
Tavlanın tarihi çok eski yıllara hatta sultanlara dayanır. Dünya tarihinin geçmişi en uzun oyunları arasında yer alır. Bir çok hikayesi olan bu tavla oyununun bir çok hikayesi mevcuttur. İlk hikayemiz şu şekilde
Dünya üzerinde ki bir çok buluş eski savaşların olduğu dönemlerde ihtiyaçlar sonucu meydana gelmiştir örnek olarak fotoğraf makinesi, aşılar, parazit ilaçları gösterilebilir. Tavla’ nın ortaya çıkma zamanlarının Persler’e kadar uzandığı düşünülüyor.
Tavlanın ortaya çıkması 2 imparator arasında ki, inatlaşma ve rekabetin ürünüdür. Yüzyıllar önce Hint imparatoru satranç adlı oyunu icat eder. Satranç bilindiği üzere sadece zekaya dayanan ve şansın olmadığı bir oyun türüdür. Hint imparatoru pers imparatoruna bir mektup gönderir bu mektupta ‘’Kim daha çok düşüyor ise, kim daha iyi biliyorsa, kim daha ileriyi görüyorsa o kazanır. İşte hayat budur..’’ yazar. Pers imparatoru düşünmeye başlar fakat işin içinden çıkamayacağını anlayınca vezirinden yardım ister. Vezir uzun sürelerce bu mektubu düşünür ve satranç oyununu çözer. Bunun altında kalmak istemeyen Pers imparatorunu karşılık olarak tavla oyununu icat eder ve şu mektupla Hint imparatoruna gönderilir. ‘’Kim daha çok düşünüyor, kim daha iyi biliyor, kim daha ileriyi görürse o kazanır, ama bu birazda şanstır. İşte hayat budur..’’
Bu bilgilerin gerçekliğinden çok emin olunamıyor. Çünkü Hint imparatorluğu aslında Babürler olarak bilinir. Fakat zamana dilimi olarak Babürler Milattan sonra olarak kabul gören bir devlet olmuştur. Pers bilgili ise zaman dilimi olarak uyuşmaktadır fakat tavla oyunundaki pul sayısı 15 yerine 60 olarak gözlemlenmiştir. Günümüze zamanla değişerek 15’ e kadar düşmüştür.
Tavla ismi nereden geldi?
Tavla yıllar içerisinde doğudan avrupaya İspanyollar ile gelen bir oyun olarak kabul edilir. Kelime anlamının ‘’gerçeklerin masası’’ olarak kabul edildiği düşünülüyor. İngilizce ismi ‘’backgammon’’ olarak bilinir. İngiliz kökenli ülkelerde ise ‘’minik savaş’’ olarak bilinir. Dünyanın en yaygın oyunlarından biri olarak kabul edilir.
